N.Z. SECOND IN WORLD MODEL ’PLANE TESTS

(10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 30

New Zealand was second in the International Wakefield Trophy contest for model aeroplanes which was won by Britain for the sixth time.

Britain’s entry flew an average of 387.3 seconds on three flights.

The New Zealand entry was flown by an American proxy. The New Zealand plane, owned by Mr. B. B. Marsh, had the second best average time of 352.5 seconds.
