Empire Games in 1950 Sought by N.Z.
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 20. The executive of the New Zealand Olympic Association announced that at a meeting of the executive committee last night, it was decided to confirm the application of New Zealand for the 1950 British Empire Games. A letter received from the manager of the New Zealand Olympic team on Saturday reported that the training ui all members was proceeding satisfactorily and they were all hopeful of putting up creditable performances at the games and also that return passages had been booked on the Tamaroa leaving London on August 26.
