HOLE IN ONE BY P.B. LADY PLAYER
Playing in a Stableford competition at the Awapuni links on Saturday Miss J. Docls was successful in holing-in-one at the short second hole. This is the first time for several seasons that a lady player has achieved this feat and paid the penalty. In the same competition Miss S. Pritchard with 37 points returned the best card, 90-22-68. In the second division Miss P, Atkins, 33 Stableford, reduced her handicap with a card, 99-28-71.
At the week-end an inter-club match was played between women members of the Poverty Bay and Park clubs. All games were keenly contested, the •singles being won by Poverty Bay by a small margin while the four-ball series ended in a draw. During the afternoon tea adjournment. Mrs. W. D. Morley, P.B.
