PRICES REVISED BY LAND SALES COMMITTEE
The prices of two section?, ope at Opotiki and one in Chalmers road, Gisborne, were reduced and approved at the lower levels by the Gisborne Land Sales Committee at its weekly meeting yesterday. The reduced prices were ( agreed to by the vendors. Members of the committee present were Messrs. H. D. Chrisp, chairman, L F. Watt, and F. H. Forge. The two instances in which prices were reduced were for a section of 32 perches in Union street, Opotiki, the price of which was reduced from £IOO to £75. A section bought in 1946 for £lO5 and since improved, situated in Chalmers road, was reduced from £2ou to £2OO in conformity with the special Crown valuation. Other sales approved were.—Section, , one rood, Te Karaka, £120; store, on lrd. 17per„ Pitt street, £700; section and two-roomed cottage on lrd., Matawai. £180; section, lrd., Wainui, £125; section, 30per., Wainui. £110; section, 29per„ Wainui, £4O: section, lrd., Aberdeen road. £6O; section, SOper., School road, £140.; house, lrd. Palmerston road, £1300; house on 2rds. lper., Temple street, £1740Leases approved were. —Shop, Gladstone road, £3 5s per week, for three years, no right of renewal or compensation: farm, Mangapapa, 4ac. 3rd. sper. £l2 10s per annum for three years. , lessor to pay rates, with no right of purchase, renewal or compensation, section, Graham road, lac. 3rd. £39 per annum for five years.
