Snow in Hawke’s Bay
Heavy falls of snow occurred in the ranges and back country of Hawke s Bay on Monday night and Tuesday morning. Even the foothills below tne ranges were liberally coated. Gao! for False Pretences. Robert Emmett Burrows, who had been convicted on two charges of obtaining £1206 by false pretences, was sentenced yesterday in New Plymouth by Mr. Justice Cornish to imprisonment with hard labour for six months, i -A.
