FIVE RECORDS BROKEN

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 26. Five records were broken by the Dominion’s outstanding weight-lifters, M. Crow, Waitara, and B. R- George, Auckland, who are contenders for selection in the New Zealand Olympic Games team, at a special try-out. Crow, bantam-weight champion, who weighed in at 1231 b, smashed all his existing records. His total, GOOJIb, was a notable achievement, as he is the first bantam-weight in Australia and New Zealand ever to reach this poundage.

George, the middle-weight titleholder, was also in fine form and broke his New Zealand records for a press and snatch.
