MR. C. R. J. ATKIN, Wellington, the* Treasury Department’s finance officer * and accountant, has been appointed sec-.' : ond assistant to the Secretary to the Treasury. He succeeds the late Dr. AMR. E. Mackay, who was drowned atM Raumati on January 11. !?• MR: J. KILIAN, newly-appointed part- VI time instructor to the Gisborne Aero 7; Club, left Gisborne yesterday for Wel-ifj lington. He will take delivery of the 1 club’s Tiger Moth ZK-ANF, which has been undergoing its annual inspection at the de Havilland factory, Rongotai, and will fly back to Gisborne tomorrow. He is accompanied by another club member, Mr. E. A. Malcolm.
MR. CECIL H. HOSKINS, chairman of directors of the Australian Mutual Provident Society and a director of Australian Iron and Steel, Limited, arrives at Auckland from Australia today. He is accompanied by Mr. M. C. Buttfield, general manager of the Australian Mutual Provident Society, and they will tour New Zealand on an official visit to the branch office, Wellington, and various district offices.
