PARENTS SAVE BABY FROM ROCK PYTHON
(11 a.in.) DARWIN, Feb. 24. A man and his wife saved their seven-months-old baby from a 12ft. rock python in a railway hut at Adelaide River. 70 miles from Darwin. Mrs. Angelo Zaminit was asleep when she was wakened by the python passing over her face. The snake made for the. baby’s cot. Mrs. Zammit snatched the baby from the cot just before the snake reached it. The husband then killed the reptile, which was big enough to have swallowed the babxx There are many rock pythons in the district, but they seldom come near houses.
