CHARGE OF ARSON
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29, Bridget Veronica Hanty, nee O’Neill, aged 49, domestic, was charged beforei the magistrate, Mr. A. M. Goulding, that on or about September 14 she wilfully set fire to a dwelling-house at 210 Nelson street, Hastings, thereDy committing arson
The police asked that she be re-r manded to appear at Hastings on Ocl-J ober 14. For the accused, counsel said she in. tended to defend the charge. She was a widow residing in Wellington and had her own home.
The remand was granted, the accused being granted bail of £l5O, with onel surety of £l5O.
