IN THEIR INTERESTS GISBORNE WOOL SALES CONGESTION REMEMBERED Because of the congestion created in the Hawke's Bay wool stores last season when the Gisborne and East Coast clip was entered for sale at the Napier centre, the attitude of buyers in regard to the Gisborne sales this season was discussed on Friday at a meeting of the meat and wool section of Federated Farmers in Hastings. It was agreed to request the federation headquarters to use its influence to assist the institution of wool sales in Gisborne. Because of the congestion last year some Hawke’s Bay farmers were unable to sell their wool at auction until some time after it had been shorn. The chairman, Mr P. S. Plummer, said concern was being felt in Gisborne at the possibility of woolbuyers not including the new centre in their roster although a considerable amount of money already had been spent in extending the stores to provide for the sales. It was in the interests of Hawke's Bay farmers to have Gisborne wool sold in Gisborne
