EXTENSION FAVOURED An indication that he was in favour of proceeding with work on the Glen-hope-Murchison section of the Nelson railway has been given by the Minister of Railways, Mr. Semple, to a Nelson deputation. , The Minister informed the deputation that he and the member |or Buffer and the Minister of Rehabilitation, Mr. Skinner, were prepared to recommend to Cabinet that work on that section of the railway should be proceeded with as soon as possible, and that in the meantime investigation should be made into the possibilities of linking Nelson with the main South Island railway system.
