LORRY HIT BY TRAIN
PRISONERS KILLED LONDON, Sept. 17. Ten German prisoners and two British soldiers who were acting as escorts were killed and 17 Germans were injured when the lorry in which they were riding was struck by a train at a level crossing at Burton Agnes. The lorry crashed through the level crossing gates as the train roared by. The vehicle was carried 200yds. along the trade and smashed to pieces, the largest parts left being the back axle and wheels.
