Webster. ■WAIKOHU GOLF A visit from members of the PatutahJ Coif Club and also a number of Rakauroa golfers was enjoyed by Waikohu golfers at the weekend. The links were fully taxed when 6<J players took the field, a foursome over nine holes being played in the morning and a fourball best-ball over 18 holes in the afternoon. Morning and afternoon tea provided by the Waikohu Club was served under the direction of Mesdames W. V. Luttrell and C. S. Bridge whose elVorts, combined with the organisation of the sccretay. Mr. \V. V. Luttrell. contributed largely to the success of the day. 'Hie visiting teams included Mesdames R. Crahum, Witara. Clark, Murphy, Pore, Hogan. Johsou, Mouteith and McLean, Misses P. At the close of play the Waikohu captain, Mr. H. F. Hammond, expressed their pleasure at the visit and said it was hoped in the future to have a trophy for competition between country clubs. Mr. 11. M. White, on behalf of the Patutahi club, and Mr. F. Fa ram, for Rakauroa players, returned thanks for the hospitality, and endorsed the proposal for a competition for country clubs.
