A meeting of representatives of the New Zealand Wool Board, the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, the New Zealand Dairy Board, and the Federated Farmers was held and it was decided that there was very great urgency to setting up a Royal Commission to carry out an authoritative investigation into the sheepfarming industry, particularly as it relates to second and third class and marginal lands in New Zealand.
