CRIMES IN NIKOLAYEV

MASSACRE OF RUSSIANS (9 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 18. The Moscow radio says that seven Germans were hanged for war crimes at Nikolayev included LieutenantGeneral Winkler, former Nazi commandant of Nikolayev, a member of the S.S., Lieutenant-Colonel Tangier, head of the security police, and Major Huebner, head of the Nazi gendarmerie. The Russian prosecutor, * Colonel Semashko, alleged that the Nazis murdered 105,000 peaceful Russian citizens. Dr. Shromso, of the Kherson psychiatric Hospital, said the Germans shot about 1000 patients and then burned down the hospital.
