NELSON WITHDRAWS
AMERICAN GOLF TOURNEY
(10 n.nt.) NEW YORK, Jan. 17. Bryon Nelson, the winner of the Inst three Professional Golfers’ Association tournaments, announced that ho is withdrawing from bis current tour and returning home to Toledo, Ohio, for a physical check-up. Nelson limped to-day, apparently from a muscle injury during ft practice round for the, Richmond - tournament, which started to-day. The Associated Press points out. that Nelson’s departure opens the field to Snead, MeSpaden, Fender ami Hogan.
