NEW AIR GIANTS

UNITED STATES TESTS LARGEST YET ATTEMPTED (9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 7. While Super-Fortresses are attacking Tokio secret tests arc proceeding on new air giants which may dwait the Super-Fortresses, including the B3G. described as the largest aeroplane yet attempted. Simultaneously, American experts are developing rockets and jetpropelled weapons. The foregoing was disclosed when the Appropriations Committee released testimony by Dr. George Lewis, director of aeronautical research. Dr. Lewis said the 835, B3C> and 842 were undergoing tests. He added that the experimental development of air weapons was advancing so rapidly that a shortage of experts was caused. Therefore, technicians would be borrowed from the armed forces to carry out the laboratory experiments.
