P. 5.0., :i veterinary siir.gcon of Epsom, made a profit of £11.529 on an outlay of £2l in 1939, when he sold the six-year-old mare Sinter Clara at the Newmarket bloodstock sales yesterday lor ll,ooogns. Sister Clara’s buyer was the Well-known racing owner, Miss Dorothy Paget. It was one of the most remarkable bloodstock sales the racing world has known in many years, Major Doyle found Sister Clara, who is Sun Chariot’s half-sister, could hot he trained, so mated her with Stardust and sold the foal for 6600gnH. Sister Clara is. by Carle It inger from Clarence. Other sales yesterday were the 10-year-ohi mure. Exhibitionist, by Solario from Lady Wembley, 10,500gn5.; the six-year-old inure Mercy, 12,000gn5.; tile six-year-old marc Rossington, TOOOgns.: the eight-year-old mare Gold Vista', 3200gns. ; a colt foal by Walling Street from Alaharn, GOOflgns.; a filly foal by Wat-liny; Street from the French-bred mare Tornado, 2soogns. These latter are the first Watling Street produce to he sold. ’the Hyperion mare Solar Cygnet, ii four-year-old sister of Sweet Cygnet, fetched GOOOgns. ......
