THANKSGIVING DAY
HOLY 'TRINITY CHURCH The annual thanksgiving day oi Holy Trinity Church this year fails on Sunday and if is expected that there will be a liberal response to Hie church's appeal for funds. Generally there fills been a very encouragin':' response to the thanksgiving day appeals, and it is hoped by (.hose con cerncd that the offertories taken at services at the church or. Sunday will furnish ample funds for flic needs of the church. Tlie parish some years ago decided to abandon bazaars and other such Tories of revenue collection and substitute the direct-giving plan for the maintenance of the clergy and repair of parish buildings. The presen’ system depends entirely upon dona'ions and offertory collections to maintain the ever-increasing activi.ies of the church. Immediately alter the 8 o'clock service on Sunday the junior vestry lias arranged to seat and provide breakfast for 150 to 200 people, as is the usual procedure. The parish break fast will be at 9 o’clock in the Paris! Hall. At the early morning communion service the young people confirmed a fortnight ago will go to the altar to take their first communion.
