Luxury furniture was stowed in the shelter deck and carried on the out-going voyage, probably for storage in Australia. ■ The ship's crew of approximately 800 flooded the streets of Victoria. Esquimalt and other island towns on shore leave. Thousands of workers from all parts of Canada refitted the liner in record time.
