Demand for Pictures
There is an unabated demand in Wellington for oils and water colours by New Zealand artists. Amply demonstrated in the two previous shows of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts at Auckland, this hunger for art i-.os not been appeased, for during Friday evening and Saturday morning nearly £6OO worth of pictures were purchased from the walls of this year’s exhibition —a record. Since then other sales have been made.
