King’s.—“ Jack London” traces the Tahitious career of the noted author, war corvespondent, and adventurer from his early struggles through his later amazing exploits, romances, and great triumphs. _ This adventurous, romantic story is being screened at the King’s Theatre to-day and stars Michael O’Shea and Susan Hayward. Regent. “Lost Angel” (Margaret O’Brien) concludes at the Regent to-day. To-morrow’s new attraction will be “The Man From Down Under,” Metro-Go idwynMayer’s action-drama starring Charles Laughton. Excitement, humour and romance are the keynotes of this superb entertainment, which must take its place as Laughton’s best film to date. The supporting programme is outstanding. Majestic.—To-day Universal Pictures present the Andrews sisters in their latest and best picture "Swingtime Johnny.” a merry musical which also features Tim Ryan and Mitch Ayres and his orchestra. The associate feature "Ridin’ Down the Canyon" is an exciting musical Western starring Roy Rogers and The Sons of the Pioneers.” Chapter 12 of “The Flying Cadets” also will be screened.
