Service to Gisborne
The death of Mr. Arthur Sawyer, a former member of the council, was referred to at last night’s meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council by Mr. II H. DeCosta, presiding as DeputyMayor. He referred to Mr. Sawyer’s service to the town, and moved a vote of condolence with his widow and family. The council accorded the m'otion the usual honours.
