MISSION TO DOMINIONS LONDON, Oct.. 27, Mr. James Turner, vice-president of the National Farmers’ Union and chairman of the union delegation ■which is shortly to visit Australia ahd New Zealand, in an interview, said the delegation’s principal objective was to establish contacts with the Dominions’ farmers’ organisations and so prepare the ground for an Empire conference which will be held in London as early as possible, perhaps in 1945. - He added that the delegation would not discuss nolicy but would engage in talks covering preliminary arrangements for collaboration in the solution of post-war agricultural problems. It is desired to get an agree-, ment among farmers’ organisations before a direct approach is made to Jhe Government, when. pressure could be applied by organisations on individual Governments at the policyforming stage. ■ • Other members of the delegation are Mr. S O. Ratcliffe. former president of the National Farmers’ Union. Mr. Giles Turner, a member of the National Farmers’ Union fruit committee, Mr. Geoffrey Browne, National Farmers’ Union economics officer.
