WOMEN'S WAR JOBS
AUSTRALIAN FACTORIES 12,000 PLACED IN N.S.W. (2.40' p.m.) SYDNEY, July 14. Since the beginning of the year 12,000 women have been placed in war work by the New South Wales branch of the National Service Office for Women. They are engaged in clothing and textile industries, food packing, parachute making, leather trade, and aircraft production. Eighty thousand women are expected soon to be placed in wa!r work throughout Australia, and the man-power authorities state that there is no lack of applicants.
