He fought in the North-West Indian Rebellion, against Louis Widii.ippg Light Infantry, hnd led a life Of adventure in Mexico dnd Western territories of the Uplted States' for several years. He tbdk' his' theological degree in Londod in 18#. following Which he spent Soffte time iri Queensland, returning to England id 1901- He’ was founder and director of the Cardew Theatfe Gms’ Hdsfel, Paris.
