GLIDER TROOPS
UP TO 20,000 YEARLY TRAINING IN GERMANY (2 pun.) WASHINGTON, this day. Germany is training between 18,000 and 20,000 glider and parachute troops yearly, says the War Department. The German High Command considers that'gliders are a vital part of airborne Invasion tactics. The glider and parachute regiments consist of three Ijgetaliohs of fo'Ur companies each— three for rifles and One for machine-gins and ’ fnoftarS.' The ghders carry between ‘ 10 and 23 soldiers. '
