WIDER AGE LIMITS

BRITISH MEN AND WOMEN NATIONAL SERVICE (British Official Wireless.) (11 a.m.) RUGBY, Mar. 5. Men between the ages of 41 and 45 inclusive are to be made liable for national service by Royal proclamation, which calls on men who, at to-day's date, have reached the age of 18. The higher age limit for men previously has been 41. The proclamation also calls for the service of women born between December 18 and March 5 not covered by the previous proclamation. Doctors and dentists previously recruited below the age of 41 will now be called up between 41 and 46. The new proclamation will be followed by an announcement of this extension.
