JAPANESE COTTON GOODS
Japanese cotton goods originally made for the American market will be given a different finish and shipped to French Indo-China, says the Japan Chronicle. The American freezing order has resulted in the tying up of vast stocks at the various cotton spinning mills, but with the conclusion of the Japan-Indo-China joint defence agreement the spinners had decided to give them a different finish and use them to meet the demand in Indo-China, since imports from France ceased with the outbreak of war.
