AMUSEMENTS
King’s.—“ That Certain Something.” a sophisticated comedy glorifying the Australian girl, finishes to-night. Henry Fonda, Dorothy Lamour, and Linda Darnell are starred to-morrow in “Chad Hanna.” Walter Edmonds’ best seller, which was published under the title “Red Wheels Rolling.”
Regent.—“ The Shop Around the Corner” concludes to-day. With a sterling cast, including Clive Brook and Diana Wynyard, “Freedom Radio” opens at the Regent to-mor-row. The production is a thrilling, action-packed story of the German Freedom Radio and of the men who organised it.
Majestic.—There is adventure, romance and comedy in “The Lady from Cheyenne,” a dynamic story of the west, starring Loretta Young, Robert Preston, and Edward Arnold. The associate feature is “Durango Kid.” starring the popular Charles Starrett. The programme includes “The Riders of Death Valley.” Opera House. The pantomime revue, “Aladdin,” to be presented If/ Maureen Keany next Tuesday, is a joyous offering of laughter, song and spectacular dancing—the right kind of entertainment to banish war worries. There is a big cast of 70 adult and juvenile performers. The box plans are at Arthur Toye, Limited.
