RUATORIA TOURNAMENT A handicap tournament held by the Ruatoria Bowling Club during the week-end for n trophy donated by the National Tobacco Company, Limited, was won by A. Burrell, who had to play an extra head against E Williams to decide the issue. Handicaps were as follows:—J. Birch, V. Bagge and H. F. Smyth, 3 behind scratch; C. C. Winter, 2 behind; J. Clark, T. A. Hunter and A. Burrell, ser.; P. Burton, H. Kunioka, W. Carter and W. Stamiard, 1 on; IE. Williams. Geo. Richardson, and B. I Shorter, 2 on. Burton and Bagge drew byes in the first round. Results of games were: —J. Clarke 9 v. T. A. Hunter 2; P. Burton 6 v. J. Clarke 4; H. Kunioka 6 v. H. F. Smyth 2; E. Williams 7 c. E. Winter 6 ; A. Burrell 10 v. G. Richardson 4; W. Carter 13 v. B. Shorter 4; J. Birch 10 v. W. Stannard 5 ; J. Birch 7 v. V. Bagge 2; E. Williams 10 v. P. Burton 3; A. Burrell 7 v. J. Birch 6. Final.—A. Burrell 9v. E. Williams 8. TOKOMARU BAY BOWLS (Herald Correspondent.) Champion pairs games were commenced on the Tokomaru Bay bowling green at the week-end, when two rounds were played. Results:— First Round. —Morgan and Ransley d. Nevin and Savage, 20 —14; Short and Hnnkey d. Paerata and Cookery, 25—IS; Alexander and Surman d. Oates and Collins, 33—7; Lawrence and St. John d.
