MR. HOOVER EMPHATIC "FIGHT IN ANY PLACE” (Reed. Dec. iO, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 9. The former President of the United States, Mr. Herbert J. Hoover, formerly a strong opponent of Mr. Roosevelt’s policies, made the following statement to-day: “There is just one job before the American people. We must defeat this invasion by Japan. We must fight in any place that will defeat it. Upon this job we must have and will have unity in America.’'
