TIED-UP AMERICAN SHIPS

VICHY LINK WITH AXIS (Reed. Nov. 26, 2.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 25. The Maritime Commission has completed plans for the immediate requisitioning of 11 French ships, including the liner Normandie, which will be carried out in event of the Vichy Government deciding on all-out collaboration with the Axis, reports the Washington correspondent of the Journal of Commerce. It is reliably reported that the Normandie will be transferred to the army and others allocated to service in the north Atlantic and Red Sea.
