Sir.—ln your issue of yesterday, a startling, or at least a surprising, item of information was given, i.e., that one-half interest in the lease of the freezing works site had been granted to “another company." The annual meet ng of the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Company is called for Saturday next and before that takes place. 1 would ask the manager, or chairman of the comnany m make public to the shareholders all that this piece of informa..on means. Is this transfer legal? Does it mean a gift to Vestey s? Has any and what consideration been given to the company for this exceedingly valuable site? This information should be in the hands of shareholders before Friday next. FRANCIS STAFFORD.
