U.S. TRAIN WRECKING
ALLEGED CONFESSION (Reed. Nov. 24, 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 21. A message from Susanville, California, states that Sheriff Olin Johnson said that Clarence Alexander, aged 24, of Cleo Springs, California, had confessed “in detail” to wrecking the streamline train, City of San Francisco, which caused the death of ‘24 persons on August 12, 1939.
