BRITISH PURCHASES ICELAND FISH AND OIL (Elec. Tel. Copyi'iKht—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Nov. 24, 9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 22. The United States has agreed to underwrite Britain’s financial obligations to Iceland amounting to about £5,000,000 a year. The agreement provides for the payment of dollars for Iceland’s fish and fish-oil, the chief export products, which will be shipped direct to England and charged to Britain under the Lend-and-Lease Act.
