MISSING OR PRISONER

AIR FORCE CASUALTIES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The following air casualties were announced to-day:— Sergeant Charles Lionel Dennes, Royal New Zealand Air Force, reported missing, believed to be a prisoner of war. His mother is Mrs. O. M. Dennes, New Plymouth. Sergeant Keith Allan Hepburn, Royal New Zealand Air Force, killed in action. His mother is Mrs. E. E. Hepburn, Ashburton. Sergeant Stronach Vivian Smith, Royal New Zealand Air Force, previously reported missing, death now officially presumed to have occurred. His father is Mr. V. Smith, Taihape. Sergeant Ralph Joffre Kennedy, Royal New Zealand Air Force, admitted to hospital suffering from severe concussion and shock as a result of an aircraft accident. His father is Mr. T. Kennedy, Christchurch. Sergeant Andrew Harry Theodore Cook, Royal Australian Air Force, previously reported missing, now reported missing and believed to be a prisoner of war. Ilis father is Mr. Cook, 29 Rockwood avenue, Christchurch.
