CONSCRIPTION ISSUE AUSTRALIAN WARNING (Reed. Nov. 22, 9 a.m.) . CANBERRA, Nov. 21. An urgent plea to the people of Australia to refrain from controversyon conscription was made by the Prime Minister, Mr. J. Curtin, who declared that such a controversy would not add a single man to the fighting forces. Instead it would be appreciated by the enemy. Mr. Curtin was replying to questions in the House of Representatives when he said that no issue could be so ill-timed or unwise and, in the present situation, detrimental to the unity of Australia
