ARK ROYAL AVENGED
GERMAN U-BOAT SUNK SCENE OF TORPEDOING (Reed. Nov. 22, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 21. The Admiralty has announced that the corvette Marigold destroyed a German U-boat in the area where two days previously the aircraft-carrier Ark Royal had been torpedoed. It is practically certain that this U-boat participated in the attack on the Ark Royal. Thirty-four members of the U-boat crew were taken prisoner. The British minelayer Latona has been sunk. There were some casualties.
