CHEAP FOOD SUPPLY
CANADA AIDS BRITAIN (Reed. Nov. 22, 10.30 a.m.) OTTAWA, Nov. 21. The Canadian Agricultural Minister, Mr. J. G. Gardiner, addressing dairy farmers, said it was estimated that Canada was spending more than £25,000,000 in 1941 to assist in making food cheap to British consumers. He said that in two years of war, Canadian farmers had contributed an additional £25,000,000 to British consumers by accepting prices below a reasonable market level for their produce.
