An announcement that an investigation would be made by the Price Fixation Tribunal into the causes of high prices at present being charged for vegetables in the Dominion was made yesterday by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. 1 ".The inquiry will be held in Wellington,” Mr. Sullivan said, "and it will be in public. The tribunal will announce when it will take place and an opportunity will be given to the interested parties to appeal’ before it. People in other districts and centres may make written submissions and they may send these to the tribunal immediately, so that the evidence will be available for consideration during the inquiry,"
