DESTROYER SUNK
1 (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2.30 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 10. The Admiralty announces that the destroyer H.M.S. Defender has been sunk. There was no loss of life. Completed in 1931, the Defender, of 1375 tons, had a normal complement of 145.
