Mr. Arthur Stewart Burgess, one of Wanganui’s leading business men;.’died suddenly on Thursday in his seventysecond year. '■ b -’Vt ■ The death occurred in Auckland this week in his.* sixty-seventh'year of Mr. Percy Arthur Acheson, a (brother Jof Mr ; F. O. V. Acheson, Judge of the Native Land Court and l the ■ Native Appellate Court! Born in Riverton, Mr. Acheson was the third member of a well-known Southland family to die within a few months, the others being Professor A. R\ Acheson, of, Syracuse, United States, and Mrs. J. B. Cupples, of Otautau. ■). ;
