FREE FRENCH RECRUITS

SOLDIERS IN SYRIA OVER HUNDRED DAILY (British Official Wireless.) Reed. noon. RUGBY, Aug. 8. Headquarters of the Free French Forces say that French soldiers in Syria are being absorbed by the Free French forces at the rate of over 100 daily. Over 1000 joined in the fortnight following the armistice. Smyrna’s famous fair, opening on August 20, will have a British pavilion in which industrial exhibits and books illustrating the achievements of Britain will be displayed. Films will show the fighting services and war eflort work generally.
