WAIROA SCHOOLS’ SPORT
(Herald Correspondent.) Teachers of primary schools in the Wairoa district have decided to form a Wairoa and District Primary Schools Sports Association, with the object of bringing pupils from all schools together in athletic sports and team games. The following executive committee has been elected:—President, Mr. O. H. E. Yates; vice-presidents, Miss E. J. Kenny and Mr. L. Grieve; secre-tary-treasurer, Mr. F. M. Kennedy; committee, Miss M. E. Carey, Messrs. Craig, Hickey and Pinfold. The association’s activities were set down to open to-day with-a basketball and seven-a-side football tournament in Wairoa.
