NEW PASSPORT ISSUE
AMERICANS ABROAD CONTROL TIGHTENED (Reed. Feb. 21, 11 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 20. The United States is- tightening up control over Americans abroad with s view to eliminating forged or stolen passports and also to determine possible points of subversive activities.
Orders have been issued requiring all persons holding American passports to renew them before April 10 after which time the present passports will be obsolete. ,
