An engagement is announced between Stuart William, youngest son of Mr. W. M. Hall and the late Mrs. Hall, Hole-in-the-Wall, Gisborne, and Joan Audrey, youngest daughter of the Rev. H. A. and Mrs. Gould, Stout street, Gisborne.

Advice has been received by Miss Peggy De Costa that she has passed the examination of the Society of New Zealand Professional Floral Artists, with an award of 92 marks. The examination covers both theoretical and practical work and only a small number of florists in New Zealand have gained the award.
