AWARD SUSPENDED

WATERSIDE WORKERS DOMINION PORTS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A suspension order signed by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. P. C. Webb, under the Waterfront Control Commission Emergency Regulations 1940. was gazetted last evening. This orders the suspension of the whole of the provisions of the New Zealand waterside workers' award of November, 1937. in respect of their application to all ports of the Dominion. The provisions of the various industrial, Conciliation and Arbitration Acts are suspended in respect of their application to workers coming within ilu scope of the award, excepting the provisions relating to the registration of the union.
