BRITISH FEELING

SUFFERING IN TURKEY CASH CONTRIBUTIONS HOSPITAL-SHIP OFFER (British Official Wireless.) Reed, 10.30 a.m. RUGBY, Jan. 4. His Majesty’s Government has offered to put a hospital ship at the disposal of the Turkish Government, which has expressed its gratitude for this offer, of which it will avail itself should the need arise. This offer follows a contribution of £25,000 which the British Government made towards relief among the survivors of the Anatolian earthquake.

The British Red Cross Society has offered £IOOO to the Turkish Red Crescent organisation in cash or medical supplies for the relief of distress caused by the floods and earthquake.

The sponsors of the “save-the-child-ren” fund have appealed for funds to afford relief to the children victims of the Anatolian earthquake and Hoods.

The appeal follows the several other manifestations of deep sympathy which the' reports of distress have aroused in Britain.
