CRICKETER KILLED
STRUCK OVER HEART BRISBANE. Dec. 9. Clem I-Jills, aged 19. was killed when he was struck by a cricket ball during a grade match on the West Bundaberg cricket ground yesterday.
Hills was opening batsman, lor his club, The Combines. The game had been in progress for about 20 minutes when a ball rose sharply oil the turf and struck Hills over the heart. ITe fell, rose, and immediately fell dead. The match was abandoned.
Hills was an outstanding cricketer, and represented Bundaberg last season. He was a„ representative hockey player. He wasinjurcri at hockey last season, and had been in. hospital for several weeks. This was his first game of cricket this season.
